HENRY COUNTY – HARDRIDGE CREEK: Late this afternoon a Henry County man was driving down his driveway to carry his garbage to the road. Somehow the gas pedal was pressed harder than normal and the man came down faster then normal. The vehicle struck a tree which stopped the vehicle from going down an embankment.
Abbeville Rescue amd Henry County 911 auto launched Survival Flight to respond to the scene when the call was dispatched. A landing zone was established between lHenry County Sheriff Department, Screamer Volunteer Fire – Rescue, Shorterville Fire – Rescue and ALEA – Trooper for the helicopter to land.
The man was placed in Survival Flight and flown to Southeast Health in Dothan. The man is reported to have been conscious and alet on the scene and the injuries are not reported as life threatening.
This was a single vehicle, private property accident.
