HOUSTON COUNTY: The long time Senior Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Rev. Ricky Plummer, called Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe out on several issues.
Shoupe then took to FACEBOOK and made statements such as:
” I wanted to comment on this Facebook post that is going around that contains several inaccurate statements concerning the Houston County Commission’s position on reopening the State Park. I am going to go over those inaccurate statements in part 1 of this video and in part two I am going to explain the reason behind MY opinion the reason why we should not reopen the State Park at this time, and at the end of the second video if you FANCY YOURSELF A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE YOU WILL AGREE WITH ME ON THESE ISSUES”. Shoupe continues let’s get right to the inaccurate statements”.
Shoupe continues for 6 miutes and 18 seconds. Shoupe is calling one of the top most respected pastors in Houston County, who is Senior Pastor to one of Dothan’s larger Southern Baptist Churches, as making inaccurate statements about the Houston County Commission Chairman and Houston County Commission.
Rev. Ricky Plummer was accurate.
And as always Chairman Brandon Shoupe does not tell the entire truth. While this Houston County Commission and Chairman state they are transparent, look at the agenda’s on Houston County web site. The public gets no documentation. If you request to speak Chairman Shoupe has to approve it, if critical of the commission Shoupe denies the request. He only allows three minutes and states the commission will not respond to your comments.
Shoupe lack of respect for a highly respected Pastor and Shoupe’s arogance.
In the Houston County Fire Chief Association, 17 Volunteer Fire Chief’s, only 1 out of 17 raised their hand as supporting or that trusted Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe or any member of the Houston County Commission.

SHOUPE NEEDS TO GO! JUST SAY NO TO ALL INCUMBENTS ON THE HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSION.
