LEVEIL PLAINS – ENTERPRISE:      This afternoon Level Plains made an arrest of Angela Nicole Sizmore, age 47. The arrest was in Level Plains.

Sizemore was placed in handcuffs and placed in what was thought to be a secure area of the Level Plains Police cruiser.

Allegedly Sizemore was about to get out of her handcuffs and into the driver seat of the Level Plains Police vehicle, and then stomping the gas pedal.

Level Plains Police, followed shortly by Level Plains Police Chief Johnny Summers, took off in pursuit. Law Enforcement vehicles chasing law enforcement police vehicle.

Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and members of Sale County Sheriff Department, ALEA – Troopers, Enterprise Police and Coffee County Sheriff Department were notified and all the law enforcement rolled. The female drove on Highway 84, in a marked vehicle being chased by law enforcement. The vehicle hit the by pass and turned right in the direction of WalMart. As the Level Plains Police Vehicle crossed the railroad one of the Level Plains officers got into position and was able to perform a pit manuver on the Level Plains police car. Sizemore lost control and officers were able to quickly take her into custody. But custody was not until after an altercation which forced the officers to use a non lethal taser to get Sizemore into a cooperative mood.

Sizemore started the traffic stop and arrest with no major charges. After her fleeing in the Level Plains Police vehicle she increased her charges to theft of the police vehicle, traffic violaitons, felony attempt to elude, giving false name to law enforcement, along with other possible charges of reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and obstruction of justice. Charges in Level Plains, Dale County District Court.

Enterprise Mayor William ( Bill ) Cooper  and Level Plains Mayor Ronnie Thompson responded as well as multiple law enforcement officers.
