Someone in distress is safely home today, thanks to a four-legged deputy who didn’t hesitate.
When a person needed help, Houston County Sheriff’s Department K-9, Brutus and his handler, Deputy Goldsmith, answered the call. Within minutes of being deployed, Brutus found them, and every minute mattered.
Because of that quick work, the individual received the care they needed and was able to return home safely.
“Our K-9 teams train tirelessly to be ready when called upon,” the department said, crediting the preparation, commitment, and bond between handler and partner for the outcome.
The department expressed its gratitude to Team Brutus, saying their dedication makes a real difference in the community.
For one person and the people waiting for them at home, that difference was everything.
