City of Dothan Provides Hurricane Isaias Utility and Roadway Update
DOTHAN, Ala. –The City of Dothan is providing an update on power outages and
roadway conditions as Hurricane Isaias impacts the Wiregrass area. Dothan Utilities
crews and City personnel are responding to storm-related issues and working to
address hazards as conditions allow.
Power Outage Update
As of 8:00 PM on 10/9/2026, approximately 7,000 Dothan Utilities customers are
without power due to storm-related outages.
Dothan Utilities crews are assessing damage and working to restore service as safely
and efficiently as possible. Restoration times may vary depending on the extent of
damage, weather conditions and accessibility to affected areas.
Customers can report power outages and downed trees affecting utility service by
contacting Dothan Utilities Dispatch at 334-615-3302. Dispatch will remain staffed
throughout the storm.

Road Closures and Storm Hazards
Several roadways are impacted by fallen trees, downed power lines and other storm-
related debris.
Motorists are urged to avoid traveling on the roadways at this time.
Please be patient as our crews work diligently to restore power and clean up downed
lines and debris.
Residents should never approach downed power lines or attempt to remove trees or
debris near electrical equipment. All downed power lines should be considered
energized and dangerous. Report electrical hazards to Dothan Utilities Dispatch at
334-615-3302. Call 911 if there is an immediate threat to life or safety.
