ALABAMA:    The wiregrass has a chance to send a Houston County resident to the Alabama Public Service Commission.

Houston County’s Priscilla Andrews is seeking statewide election to the Alabama Publc Service Commission.

The Alabama Public Service Commission controls many of the expenses households and businesses have zero control over. Those expenses are utility bills, phone bills, and many other expenses know one knows really how they are calculated.

The mission of the Alabama Public Service Commission is to ensure a regulatory balance between regulated companies and consumers in order to provide consumers with safe, adequate and reliable services at rates that are equitable and economical. The Commission continues to regulate carriers of passengers and household goods, ensures all motor carriers maintain appropriate cargo and liability insurance, and ensures that all regulated carriers comply with applicable safety standards.

Many large corporations, such as Alabama Power, invest huge amounts of money for their person on the Alabama Public Service Commission.

Priscilla Andrews will represent the households who spend their hard earned money on expenses they have little to control over.
