ALABAMA: Since announcing that he was running for Alabama Governor, it seems that Former Auburn Football coach Tommy Tuberville would be the next Governor.
Tommy Tuberville is currrently a sitting United States Senator for Alabama.
There has been a cloud hanging over Tommy Tuberville about his residency. Once of the qualifications for Alabama Governor is seven ( 7 ) years as a resident of the State of Alabama. During the chatter of the cloud, Governor Tuberville has seemed unshaken by the chatter.
A McFeeters made made a complaint before about Tuberville’s residency. That complaint looked as if a child with crayons made the complaint and was quickly dismissed by the Alabama Republican Steering Committee.
Another complaint has been filed challenging the Alabama Republican Committee on Tommy Tuberville’s status on being the Republican nominee for Alabama Governor. The primary election is over and as it stands right now Tommy Tuberville is the Republican Nominee for Alabama Governor.
In the news, and from people deep within the Alabama Republican Party, this has now become serious. There is a special meeting called for June 14th of the Alabama State Republican Steering Committee. This is 21 people from across Alabama which will her testimony and review documents concerning the allegations of Tommy Tuberville’s residency.
The information is that Tommy Tuberville voted in a Florida election in 2018. This could disqualify Tommy Tuberville as the Republican Nominee and potentially get him into some criminal legal issues in the State of Florida.
If the 21 members of the Alabama Repulican Steering Committee disqualify Tommy Tuberville as the Republican Nominee, the 21 members of the steering committee will then handpick who the 2026 Republican Nominee will be for Governor of the State of Alabama.
That’s right, only 21 people are on the Replican Sterring Committee and will make the decision. They have 5 days from June 21 to make the decision. Some associated said if Tuberville is disqualified the decision of who the nominee will be most likely will be announced on June 14.
Current Alabama Lt. Will Answorth can not seek re-election as Lieutenant Governor. He wanted to seek election as Governor but Tuberville took the pools like wildfire. Some have suggested if Tommy Tuberville is disqualified the 21 “chosen ones” might pick the current Alabama Lieutenant Governor.
