DOTHAN GARBAGE, RECYCLING & STORM DEBRIS
Following Hurricane Isaias, the City of Dothan is making temporary changes to collection services as crews work to clear storm debris throughout the community.
GARBAGE & RECYCLING
Green carts (garbage) and blue carts (recycling) will continue to be collected on their regularly scheduled days.
STORM DEBRIS COLLECTION
Beginning Monday, October 12, regular trash collection will be temporarily suspended so crews can prioritize storm debris removal over bulk waste collection.
Storm debris: Leaves, limbs, branches and other natural yard debris.
Bulk waste: Furniture, appliances and other large household items.
Storm debris collection will take priority over bulk waste until cleanup is complete. Regular trash collection will resume afterward.
IMPORTANT: KEEP DEBRIS SEPARATE
Please keep green waste and bulk waste in separate piles. Much of the storm debris may need to be burned, and only green waste can be burned. Do not mix furniture, household items or other non-green materials with your green waste pile.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as our crews work to clear storm debris and restore normal collection services.
