DOTHAN: Some voters have reported difficulty reaching the polling location at Vaughn Blumberg on Flynn Rd today, as Dothan Utilities (DU) carries out critical infrastructure work at the nearby Flynn Substation.
According to DU Director Angie Akos, access to the drive is unobstructed for drivers traveling west to east, with no detour needed. Drivers traveling east to west must take a slight detour to reach the drive off Flynn Rd.
Detour signs are being placed, and police assistance has been requested at the scene to help direct traffic. Voters heading to the site from the east should allow extra time. Polls close at 7 P.M.
Akos said the work is essential to the utility’s infrastructure.
