From Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum

Some folks sit on the sidelines or in front of a camera and talk about how they support law enforcement. Others step up, get in the game, and cast a vote to show their support.

Today, members of the Dale County Commission didn’t just talk about supporting law enforcement, they took action by investing in the men and women who serve and protect Dale County.

I want to publicly thank the Dale County Commission, Chairman Steve McKinnon, and especially County Manager Cheryl Morris Patt Ganey for passing the FY 2027 budget and making a significant investment in the people who put it on the line each and every day!

This budget includes a 4% cost-of-living raise and an additional $3/hr for our deputies.

I’m proud to say the Dale County Sheriff’s Office has been FULLY STAFFED since before I took office and that doesn’t happen by accident. That’s not because of me or any one person but the tremendous support of this community and a commission who stands behind its people 100%. We have worked hard to recruit good people, retain experienced deputies, and build a team that wants to serve this community.

Buildings, vehicles, and equipment are important but our greatest investment will always be our people.

When we invest in the men and women behind the badge, we invest in the safety and future of Dale County.

Good people are worth investing in.⭐️
