\HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Sheriff Deputies on June 4 to Coggins Trailer Park to a domestic violence – assault call.
A male and female were in an apparent arguement. Allegations are the male subject, Yovani Elias Toc-Ajcal had assaulted a female. The 12 year old daughter intervened to stop the male subject assaulting the female.
When the 12 year old intervended it is reported the male subject took a belt and wrapped it in a ball with a large belt buckle on the end, like a cowboy or wrester belt, and is alleged to have struck the 12 year old multiple times, to include alleged striking in the head. On arrival of law enforcement and EMS the suspect was gone. The 12 year old female was transported to Southeast Health.
Multiple Houston County Sheriff Patrol Deputies and Criminal Investigators went to the scene when daylight hit the next morning. The suspect was found apparently hiding at another trailer. The suspect was taken into custody and arrested for Assault and Domestic Violence. The suspect has bonds totaling $ 156,000.00
The suspect appeared before Houston County District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis for first appearance on Friday. An interpretator was present to translate.
Yovani Elias Toc-Ajcal remains in the Houston County Jail. Subject is believed to be an illegal in the United States.
