ASHFORD: Ashford Ambulance and Rescue Squad celebrates 50 years IN SERVICE providing EMS Coverage to the Ashford area and eastside of Houston County.
Ashford Ambulance and Rescue, Inc. invites the community to an OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, July 21, 2024, 2 PM to 5 PM at the headquarters of Ashford Ambulance and Rescue, Inc., located at 305 Midland Street in Ashford. Directly across the street from the Train Depot in Ashford.
Drop by and tour the headquarters of Ashford Ambulance and Rescue, looking at the operation and the equipment Ashford Ambulance and Rescue has to serve the AShford Community and eastside of Houston County.
With love, dare and dedication, for 50 years volunteers and some paid had provided 24 hour a day coverage, 7 days per week to the City of Ashford and eastside of Houston County.
Ashford Ambulance and Rescue is not an entity of the City of Ashford and receive very little funding from the city government of Ashford. The Town of Cowarts helps fund Ashford Ambulance and Rescue with more than the government of Ashford. They receive part of the tag fee and $ 22,000.00 a year from Houston County which is paid in quarterly installments.
But when 911 is dialed, for 50 years Ashford Ambulance and Rescue has responded. Ashford Ambulance and Rescue has an average of 1,700 calls per year.
