DOTHAN: 11:39 AM. It was confusing for the 911 Center and the Dothan Officer.
Two wrecks on West Main Street near Castle Road intersection all in the west bound lanes of traffic.
One accident on the outside lane, then one in the middle lane. One happened that involved three cars and then the second accident that involved three cars.
Dothan 911 Center were getting multiple calls And multiple locations of where the actual accident was located.
The officer reported he was on the scene. The 911 Center which accident? Well the accidents are all together but seperate, The 911 Center we are getting reports of wreck at West Main and Flowers Chapel. Officer, no all here together.
Finally straight. None of the confusion was the fault of anyone and the 911 Center was handling smooth and as they should.
Because the 911 Center was getting different reports and it was their job to make sure that (1) all reported locations were checked (2) officers and if any other emergency services were required were sent (3) and officers needed were dispatched or on the scene of each location.
And ran smooth once the officer and 911 Center’s on scene and 911 Center callers information puzzle were all pieced together.
GOOD JOB TO ALL 911 STAFF AND OFFICERS
AT 11:46 AM Dothan Officer called for Dothan Fire to check patient because of air bag deployment. It is the policy of Dothan Police, if a patient complains at all of hurting to send Dothan Fire to check the patient. There could be injuries not visible the person has.
Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish issued a directive procedure because he wants to make absolutely sure, very positive, without a doubt, the person’s best interest is cared for.
