KINSEY: 12:39 PM Kinsey Police Chief, Kinsey Fire and Headland Rescue are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident, Highway 431 and Headland Avenue.
A pickup truck left the roadway on the northwest corner of Headland Avenue intersection. The vehicle went past the Botanical Gardens sign into the woodline.
The driver appeared okay, however, due to a downed power line the emergency responders requested Wiregrass Electric respond ASAP to cut the power. And they did.
The driver was removed from the vehicle after the power was cut off. No EMS transport was required.
Kinsey Police investigated the accident.
Utility Agencies are part of the primary emergency responders. At times emergency services can not begin until the area is declared safe by the utility agencies. Today was an example. The utility crews are great to respond rapidly and efficiently. They are a part of the primary responders which provide emergency services. THANKS for all you do.
