DOTHAN: 12:58 PM Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies have been in a major chase.
The chase started at Ross Clark Circle and Hodgesville Road. The chase went around the circle towards East Main and Ross Clark Circle all the way around to Montgomery Highway and Ross Clark Circle.
When the suspect vehicle got to Montgomery Highway and Ross Clark Circle the vehicle turned south traveling in the wrong lane.
Dothan Police initiated the chase and Houston County Sheriff Department assisted and was involved.
Dothan Police was attempting to get stop sticks deployed.
At or near Cherokee and Rebecca the suspect struck a tree. One vehicle accident.
THIS WAS A MURDER SUSPECT FROM THE CAROLINA'S THAT WAS RUNNING FROM APPREHENSION. So the chase was of a known wanted violent felon offender.
Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies are on the scene.
Sheriff Valenza and Chief Parrish also were on scene.
