HOUSTON COUNTY / ASHFORD: 2:31 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched emergency units to a serious/critical motor vehicle accident on North County Road 55 at Edsell Deese Road.
Reports to 911 were that a vehicle had flipped and patient bleeding from the face.
Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Ashford Fire, Ashford Rescue, Ashford Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies.
On the arrival of Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey he reported there was one complaining of back pain but the others in the accident did not appear to be injured.
The City of Dothan - Houston County Communications District Computer Aided Dispatched reflected that Ashford Police was the jurisdiction for the accident in that intersection. Ashford Police advised Houston County Sheriff 911 that was in error and Alabama State Troopers were needed to respond to the accident because that was their accident to investigate.
Ashford Rescue transported one patient to the hospital non emergency.
