DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: 3:50 PM About 75 to 100 people gathered at the corner of Main and Oates to protest.
The protest was peaceful and under the careful watchful eyes of Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and members of Houston County Sheriff Department, and Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish and members of the Dothan Police Department.
Many of the military armed forces in the United States of America have fought for and died for people to have freedoms in the United States of America. One of those freedoms is the freedom to free speech, to include the right to protest.
These freedoms only give people the right to "peaceful protest", and not the right to violent behavior and illegal protest causing damage and disruption to others.
While many are protesting law enforcement, it law enforcement officers on hand risking their lives to protect each of these protesters which are protesting against law enforcement.
It is actions of four law enforcement officers in Minneapolis where a Mr. Floyd died while dealing with law enforcement which has caused the rash of violent protests across the United States of America. One officer has been arrested and there has been a protest call for the other three officers to be arrested.
The protesters have BLACK LIVES MATTER. My only difference is, ALL LIVES MATTER.
It does not matter your color, religion, economic status, occupation. Each person is created for a purpose in life. Just as Mr. Floyd deserved to live, this past week in Moody Alabama, Sgt. Williams deserved to live. And I do not the race on the two in custody for his debts, but he deserved to live.
So I agree with those protesting in the fact ALL LIVES MATTER.
To the protesters, thanks for keeping if peaceful and lawful.
To the law enforcement, thanks for keeping everything lawful and peaceful and your watchful eyes.
BUT YOU WILL NOT SEE THIS ON NATIONAL NEWS
Because in Dothan - Houston County the protests were lawful and peaceful, managed and under close eye of Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish, who personally have been on hand the last two Sunday's, this will not make national news.
National News that people were allowed to protest peacefully and lawfully.
UPDATED @ 5:11 PM
