HOUSTON COUNTY - ASHFORD:    Tonight the Ashford City Council held their regular meeting.


Attending the meeting was D2 Houston County Commissioner Tracy Adams. The purpose of the visit of D2 Commissioner was the make a presentation on the lodging tax proposal which is on the November ballot. D2 Commissioner Adams gave proposed expenditures of the money that will be collected.


The lodging tax is on the motels across Houston County.


Also D2 Commissioner Tracy Adams also talked about the proposed amendment on the November election of changing the appointment process of the members of the Southeast Healthcare Authority

The lady speaking was finishing her discussion with the Ashford City Council concerning a new Dollar General being constructed. The item was sent back to the Ashford Zoning Commission for further discussion.
