A Fort Walton Beach man Chstged with DUI Hitting a Deputy’ Patrol Vehicle

OKALOOSA COUNTY:A Fort Walton Beach man is charged with DUI, hitting a deputy’s patrol vehicle, and leaving the scene of the crash.
22-year-old Adonias Velasquez Perez was arrested March 9th after he collided with a deputy’s marked patrol vehicle on Bob Sikes Boulevard and Air Force Street around 9:30 p.m.
After the crash he took off but was followed to the parking lot of Walton Cove Apartments. Valasquez Perez refused to get out of his vehicle, so deputies removed him, finding him to be under the influence. Velasquez Perez also did not have a valid driver’s license.
Damage to the patrol car was estimated at $10,000.
No one was injured.
Valesquez Perez is charged with DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, resisting an officer, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
