Alford Man Charged with Drug Trafficking Charges in Fla

MARIANNA FLA:On Wednesday July 3rd, 2024 at approximately 8:20 AM officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a silver in color Saturn passenger car in the area of South Street and Pebble Hill Road. The driver identified himself by identification card as Darrell Montgomery. Montgomery possessed an identification card only due to having a suspended license.


Montgomery was found to have an active warrant out of Jackson County for Violation of Probation and one out of Hendry County for child support.


Montgomery was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe with methamphetamine residue on his person. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which yielded 14.7 grams of methamphetamine, several Alprazolam pills, and a buprenorphine sublingual strip.


Darrell Montgomery was transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await first appearance and extradition for Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Paraphernalia, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance Without Prescription 2 counts, and his outstanding warrant.
