Arrest Made in the Mother’s Day Shooting Investigation of Father and 12-Year-Old Son

BIRMINGHAM AL:The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained warrants for an arrest in connection to the shooting of a father and his 12-year-old son. The incident occurred on May 12, 2024.
The suspect has been identified as:
Kamryn Cade, (22), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
During this investigation, detectives identified Kamryn Cade as a suspect. The leads developed by our detectives and tips from the community allowed us to present this case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
Birmingham Police Detectives presented case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained warrants for Attempted Murder X’s 2, Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle X’S 2, Robbery 1st Degree on Kamryn Cade.
Kamryn Kade was arrested by an outside agency. He is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held with No Bond.
