ASHFORD: The Operation Round Up Charitable Foundation board, along with other Wiregrass Electric Cooperative officials, was proud to present the Ashford High School Band Association with a check for $10,090.94 today!


Josh Meyer, the Ashford High School band director, said many instruments undergo extreme wear and tear as the band performs at football games, parades, competitions and concerts throughout the year.


The money, generated by our members’ willingness to round up their monthly power bills to the next dollar, will be used to replace some worn-out instruments.


We are proud to support high school extracurricular activities as they foster leadership skills, social development and life skills that benefit our youth for years to come! We thank our members for allowing the ORU to benefit our communities in several ways.
