WALTON COUNTY, FLA: A DeFuniak Springs man is facing aggravated assault charges after firing at a neighbor’s home while two adults and two children were outside.
On Sunday afternoon, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of gunfire in the area of Bully Boy Boulevard in DeFuniak Springs.
It was learned that Gabriel Taylor, 33, began firing what appeared to be a long rifle at a neighbor’s home while yelling profanities as the victims worked in the yard. Outside with them were their 16-year-old son and a 17-month-old child.
Deputies found numerous spots of damage along the fence in the property where it appeared either a BB, pellet, or small caliber rifle had been fired.
When trying to make contact with Taylor, he avoided deputy’s questions and refused to cooperate by trying to leave the area on a lawn mower when they arrived.
Taylor was arrested on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of criminal mischief. He was issued no bond on the felony charges and remains incarcerated.
