DOTHAN:    Last week at the recommendation of Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish, Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba and members of the Dothan City Commission recognized Dothan Police Criminal Investigator Terry Nelson as Officer of the Year.


Nelson is assigned to Dothan's Criminal Investigation Division. He is a very diligent and hard working investigator with a tremendous case load.


Nelson comes from a long history of law enforcement. His granddad was Skeeter Pate. Pate was a Captain over the Dothan Bureau of the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. 


Nelson's dad is a retired Captain with the Alabama Department of Public Safety. His brother, Tracy Nelson, is currently a Captain with Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Dothan Division.


Terry Nelson is dedicated to the service of the citizens of Dothan. He works long and hard hours, often times called out when crimes occur.


Congratulations to Terry Nelson on his honor of being selected as Officer of the Year.
