FLORIDA: No one likes feeling the drain on their wallet when filling up their gas tank and in Florida, it hurts more than normal.
Florida now ranks 10th in the nation for highest gas prices and there is no relief in the foreseeable future.
The price of gasoline jumped 14 cents in the last week, making it a combined 25 cent increase over the past two weeks.
ALABAMA: A major push is underway for the Alabama Legislature to pass a 10 cent per gallon tax on gasoline and diesel fuel in Alabama.
The leadership of Alabama said this money is needed for infrastructure improvements in the roadways and bridges in the State of Alabama.
Many Republicans this past election cycle were forced to commit to certain financial donors their support of the gas tax.
The Alabama Association of County Commissioners have come out in full support of the ten cent per gallon gas tax increase.
There has been a discussion and debate on TWITTER on the gas tax increase. One County Commission Chairman talked about the sudden increase in the prices of gasoline and fuel and the timing of that increase as Alabama Legislature rings the opening bell this week.
When I saw this article, right or wrong, AAA said that summer gasoline and fuel are a different mixture because they burn different during the summer months.
You watch - you decide. Just proving you with information.
Not taking a side - at this time - just ran across the Panama City News article and that summer gas prices in Florida expected to hit $ 2.75 per gallon. And yes I agree something has to be done on the roads and bridges in Alabama. And there is no money.
Discussion on all sides. Major pushes from the big guns for Alabama Legislature to pass this ten cent per gallon increase on gas and fuel.
Make your thoughts known. We will publish all sides.
