HCSO DEPUTIES TRAIN ON PIT MANEUVERING

Deputies from Holmes County Sheriff’s Office took to the driving range at Gulf Coast College the past two days to brush up on their pursuit skills.
Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford and staff graciously hosted several deputies from HCSO for two days to participate in PIT (Pursuit Intervention Technique) training at the Gulf Coast College Driving Range.
Deputies were trained how to safely administer the PIT maneuver in cases where deputies need to bring an end to a pursuit. Sheriff Tate would like to thank Sheriff Tommy Ford for the use of his vehicles and instructor, Florida Panhandle Technical for providing instructors and Gulf Coast College for use of their driving range.
