Hope Wallace Haydon
May 17, 1962 – February 17, 2019
Hope Wallace Haydon, age 56, unexpectedly passed away after a brief illness on February 17th, 2019. Born May 17th, 1962,
Hope and her sister Joy were raised in Dothan, Alabama, by their loving parents John and Joyce Wallace. She graduated from
Northview High School in 1980. Hope was a passionate Tiger who graduated in 1984 from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts
in Interior Design. Her career as designer took her to Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked with Godwin and Associates.In 2000,
she began serving as Director of the Carolyn Barron Montessori School in Newnan. Most recently, she worked as Business Manager
at Formation Design Group in Atlanta. Hope lived in Newnan with her husband of 29 years, Clay Haydon. Her greatest joy was being a mother
to her two daughters, Allie Taylor (24) and Anna Leigh(21). Hope loved the Lord with all of her heart which was expressed through
her service and love to others. She will be remembered as a selfless, special person who could turn any house into a beautiful home and who could cook anything and everything with butter.
She is survived by her husband, Clay; her daughters, Allie & Anna; her parents, John & Joyce Wallace;
her sister &brother-in-law, Joy & Ray Taylor; her uncle & cousin, Ronnie & Josh Taylor; her nephew & niece, Ben &Ashleigh Martin;
and her in-laws, Barbara Haydon, Christy & Steve Cronic, Matt & Nancy Haydon, Holly & Steve Hale & many beloved cousins, nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, John (Jay) Haydon.
A Memorial Service will be held in Auburn, Alabama, at the Church of the Highlands on March 2nd at 1:00pm Central Time. Following the service, there will be a tailgate at the Grave’s Amphitheater at Auburn University. Auburn gameday attire is encouraged! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carolyn Barron Montessori School (195 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA 30263) or the Church of the Highlands (2001 E Samford Avenue, Auburn, AL 36832).
