Mr. Larry L. Lambert of Samson, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  He was 69 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 06, 2018 at the Samson First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Andy Blackmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time.


In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions may be made to the Samson First United Methodist Church, 204 W. Main Street, Samson, AL 36477.


Mr. Lambert was born on November 10, 1948 to the late Marlin and Elva Redmon Lambert. Mr. Lambert was one of the hardest working and most dependable men you might ever meet. He was the world’s greatest “Pops” to his grandchildren and was very involved with them. He was a faithful follower of Christ who sought to lead others to know and serve the God he served. Many people knew him as Larry, Pops, and also as Buyer # 1-5-0.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Gerry Lambert.


He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia B. Lambert of Samson; one daughter, Jennifer L. Rimes (Daniel) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; one son, Jason Lambert ( Miranda) of Samson; five grandchildren, Bryce, Addison, Lambert, Lexi, and Lani Grace; one sister, Gail Lambert.
