Level Plains Police Department Receives Grant

LEVEL PLAINS, ALABAMA: Today, Level Plains Police Chief Summers had the privilege to meet with Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Developmemt (RC&D) Executive Director Ronald W. Davis and his staff, Representative Paramore, Representative Steve Clouse, and Senator Donnie Chesteen to receive a grant for the Level Plains Police Department.
"With the continual help of our pro-police legislators, it enables us to better equip and train our officers, which in turn, benefits the citizens of Level Plains across the board," Chief Summers said.
Chief Summers said, "With good officers being hard to find, we want to give them the equipment and training they deserve so that it carries over to the citizens of our community, also. Our local legislators have been very supportive of police as a whole, and I am thankful for that because it allows me to take care of my officers the best I can."
Wiregrass RC&D is responsible for giving the grant.
