Dothan, Ala. – Wallace Community College-Dothan received $250,000 from area legislators to support regional workforce development initiatives. “These funds will be used to develop and enhance programs and services that provide a highly skilled, educated, and trained workforce for the region, said Dr. Linda C. Young, WCCD president.

“Because of investments such as this, our students leave the College well-prepared for high-wage and high-demand careers. We appreciate the support of our legislators and their commitment to education. They are truly incredible partners.”  The representatives visited the Wallace campus on May 30 to commemorate the funding.

(L-R): State Representatives Donnie Chesteen and Paul Lee, Dr. Linda C. Young, WCCD president, and State Representative Steve Clouse.
