Man Accused of Raping Another Patient while in Southeast Health BMU

DOTHAN: A Barbour County man was arrested for allegedly raping a patient at Southeast Health in Dothan. According to Dothan Police, Derrick Gilbert, 38, is accused of raping a fellow patient inside Southeast Health behavioral medicine unit back on Oct. 28 of this year.


Gilbert made his first appearance in Houston County District Court this morning in front of Judge Benjamin Lewis. According to WDHN this is not his first time Gilbert has had run in with law enforcment.
