New Brockton High Teacher Pleads Guilty

NEW BROCKTON, ALABAMA: On Monday, Heartlee Pittman, a former teacher at New Brockton High School pled guilty to sending inappropriate messages to a student.
Pittman pled guilty to one count of a school employee distributing obscene material to a student, which is a class A misdemeanor.
Pittman, age 25, was arrested in June after Coffee County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation after receiving a report of possible inappropriate communications between her and a student under the age of 19.
Investigators found at least one image that included nudity showing female breasts that Pittman sent to a student.
Pittman received a one-year suspended sentence in the Coffee County Jail with two years of probation. She is not allowed to contact the victim during her probation.
She resigned from her teaching position as well.
