The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has taken two people into custody in connection with the theft of a murder victim’s car last Sunday. Deputies located 46-year old Jarod Skiles and 25-year old Mary Mulcahey Monday night walking in the area of Eglin Parkway and South Avenue. Skiles attempted to run from deputies but was captured and charged with grand theft auto as well as resisting arrest.
Mulcahey is also charged with grand theft auto as well as possession of drug paraphernalia after a syringe she had used to inject heroin was found in her purse. The stolen Honda Accord belonging to 47-year old murder victim Michele Lemmo was found parked nearby with a different license plate attached. Lemmo’s badly beaten body had been discovered inside her mobile home at 510 Union Street, Lot 7, around 7 p.m. November 18th.
Her car was missing. OCSO investigators developed Skiles as a person of interest and began working to locate him. The investigation into Lemmo’s slaying continues and additional charges are pending.
