Search Warrant Lands Four Headland Men in Jail on Multiple Charges

On 07/11/2018 at approximately 2:50pm, The Headland Police Department and The Abbeville Police Department conducted a search warrant at 106 Lindsey Street, Headland, Al 36345. During the search, officers found in the residence Marijuana, Synthetic Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Arrested and charged were Michael Benton B/M 50 years of age. Mr. Benton was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic Marijuana), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Benson was booked into the Henry County Jail with bonds totaling $4000.00.

            This case is still under investigation and further arrest is to be expected.

 

On 07/12/2018 The Headland Police Department arrested Jeffrey Jackson B/M 51 years of age of Lindsey Street, Headland, Al. Mr. Jackson was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic Marijuana). Mr. Jackson was booked into the Henry County Jail with bonds totaling $2000.00.

 

On 07/13/2018 at approximately 12:15pm, The Headland Police Department and The Abbeville Police Department conducted a search warrant at 23 Martin Luther King Drive Headland, Al 36345. During the search, officers found Marijuana and Synthetic Marijuana. Arrested and charged were John T Vickers B/M 45 years of age. Mr. Vickers was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic Marijuana) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st. Mr. Vickers was booked into the Henry County Jail with bonds totaling $3500.00. Also arrested and charged was Elvis Lewis B/M 34 years of age Mr. Lewis was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled substance (Synthetic Marijuana). Mr. Lewis was booked into the Henry County Jail with bonds totaling $2500.00.

 

This recovery was due to the professional and outstanding work of these officers and when departments join together for a common goal. I want to thank the officers with the Headland Police Department, The Headland SWAT team, Chief Noel Vanlandingham of the Abbeville Police Department and The Abbeville SWAT team and all who were involved in getting these drugs off the street and keeping our community a safe place to live.
