Todd Derrick Takes Oath Of Office As New Circuit Judge For Houston and Henry County

HOUSTON and HENRY COUNTY: This afternoon Todd Derrick officially took the oath of office as Circuit Judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit.
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey appointed Todd Derrick, a practicing attorney in Dothan, as Circuit Judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit. Judge Derrick will replace the position that was held by Brad Mendheim who was appointed to the Alabama Supreme Court.
Presiding Circuit Court Judge Larry Anderson administered the oath of office to Judge Derrick this afternoon in the courtroom assigned to Judge Anderson. Judge Derrick placed his hand on the Bible he’d by his wife to take the oath.
While Judge Derrick has taken the oath of office he will not begin hearing cases for a few days in order for orientation to take place concerning the duties of Circuit Judge.
