Traffic Stop Yields Two Arrest for Methamphetamine In Holmes County

HOLMAS COUNTY :On July 20, 2024, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy conducted a traffic stop on a GMC pickup driven by Penny Carnley for a traffic infraction.
While speaking with Carnley and the passenger, identified as Keith Miller, K9 Lasso was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics.
Penny Carnley informed the deputy that she had methamphetamine on her person and removed a plastic bag containing meth.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded syringe lying on the floorboard that also tested positive for methamphetamine. Both Carnley and Miller were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
