CLAYTON - BARBOUR COUNTY:     This morning was on my way back into Dothan from out of town. As I came through Eufaula thought I would take a chance to see if the Barbour County Sheriff happen to be at the jail.

Knew the chances were unlikely but also knew this was his first full week as the new Sheriff.

The registered voters of Alabama elected 20 new Sheriff’s in this state that just took office. Sheriff Smith was one of those 20.

My honor to meet the lady working there. She handles jail issues and communications. Got some file pictures.

Looking forward to Barbour County getting a new Sheriff. Looking forward to meeting him and the people of Barbour County getting county law enforcement protection.
