DOTHAN:     Attention Wal-Mart Shoopers!

If you shop at Wal-Mart, 3300 South Oates Street in Dothan, Alabama you need to read and understand the following:

If you enter Wal-Mart off Highway 231 South 

( South Oates Street )

About 5 car lengths into the parking lot

on the left you will see a STOP SIGN.

The sign reads STOP. 

Stop means all four wheels come to a complete and total stop with no movement. No where n this sign, no where near this sign, is there instructions for you to drive up the sign.

This is the third that I know of that have struck or driven up the sign which is in plain view.

If you are having problems seeing this sign please follow these instructions:

1. DO NOT drive anymore.

2. Go into the south entrance of Wal-Mart, as you go through the second set of doors, turn right and immediately back right into the Vision Center and get your eyes checked.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT of these two rules are;

DO NOT DRIVE ANYMORE.

The driver which ran up the stop sign on Thursday did so because he had two choices: (1) hit the sign, of which he did, or (2) hit a car on the wrong side in his lane.

The driver of the truck that went up the sign was pulling a trailer with about 13,000 pounds and would not have been a pretty sight if he had not diverted and struck the sign.

The car which caused the accident went over the curb and ran the traffic light getting gone.
