UPDATED @ 4:38 PM
By Headland Fire - Rescue and Kinsey 🔥 Fire responded to the scene along with Headland Police.
The interior was heavily damaged. Southeast Gas was called to the scene to cut gas from the residence.
You know service to the community is a team approach of which municipal and county lines should not and does not play a part in. The Headland area ( Henry County ) and Kinsey area ( Houston County ) are automatic aid to each other. From two different municipalities and counties but they have their focus in the right direction.
As I arrive and start walking 🚶♀️ up to the scene I see Headland Police Captain Scott Langley helping with the fire hose.
While I see Headland and Kinsey Fireman ”jointly” working together in order to
put the hose on the truck. A mandatory requirement after. Fire, no matter how tired you are, is getting the truck ready for the next call. That means hoses stacked on truck, water tanks filled on the truck, air packs filled and fire fighting suits clean and ready. The emergencies make no appointment.
I see Daniel Forrester, had to look 👀 twice making sure it was Daniel, on top of the Headland truck lining the fire hose. Daniel works in Columbia ( Houston County ) but also works for Headland Fire - Rescue.
In the end what am I saying? Municipal and County lines means nothing to emergency responders. Also people like Daniel work and volunteer with multiple departments.
