HENRY COUNTY - HEADLAND - HOUSTON COUNTY - KINSEY: 5:20 PM Henry County Central 911 notified Houston County 911 of a vehicle pursuit southbound on Highway 431.
The chase was of a black motorcycle, crotch rocket. The motorcycle was reported at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Henry County Sheriff Department and Headland Police Department were in pursuit. The chase was reported southbound passing Henry County Road 22.
At 5:22 PM Houston County Sheriff Department had intercepted and the motorcycle was stopped at Reeves Street and Landmark Drive. The driver was in custody.
At 5:27 PM Houston County Sheriff Department returned to service and reported subject turned over to Henry County.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship reported two Henry County Sheriff Deputies initiated a traffic stop on two motorcycles on Highway 431 in Newville.
A male subject on a motorcycle stopped and the second motorcycle did not and fled. The one deputy remained with the motorcycle that stoppedd while the second Henry County Sheriff Deputy gave chase of the motorcycle driven by the female.
The motorcycle chase went south of Highway 431 through Headland,crossed into Houston County, passing through Kinsey. The final stop was on Highway 431 at Landmark Drive in Houston County.
The first motocycle that stopped in Newville, Henry County Sheriff Department found trafficking amount of illegal drugs on the subject. The second motorcycle no drugs were found. Both subjects were taken into custody and motorcycles impounded. Subjects are reported from Tennessee.
AT THIS TIME it is believed the female motorcycle took off in hopes that lw enforcement would pursue her and the male subject, who was in possession of drugs, law enforcement would abandon because of the chase. WRONGGGG !!!
This is not the first rodeo for Henry County Sheriff Deputies. They are aware of the dope game and how people operate and fortunately there were two deputies on the traffic stop.
Henry County Sheriff Deputies continue their investigation. And right now, Henry County Alabama population has increased by two - one male and one female.
