CHIPLEY FL:    8:31 PM.    Today around 5 PM in Chipley Florida ( Washington County ) the Marathon Station on Highway 77 was the victim of a robbery.

Within minutes of the robbery the scene was wrapped up with law enforcement. Officers searched for the suspect.

UNCONFIRMED but from people near the scene the suspect was a black male on a white old police car.

In Chipley now ( 8:31 PM ) because someone cared enough to TEXT RICKEY STOKES 334-790-1729 and ask because yellow crime scene text, law enforcement cars and crime scene unit were on the scene. They are gone now but someone close to the scene said there is a “possibility” a suspect is in custody.

FROM CHIPLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chipley Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and asking for the public’s assistance.

This afternoon At app. 4:55 PM a black male subject, thin build and app. 6’ tall entered and robbed the Handi Mart located at 1230 Main Street In Chipley. The robbery was at gunpoint.

The Suspect was wearing dark blue jeans, a grey hoodie with a yellow vest over it, white tennis shoes and a red baseball cap.

The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash.
