Beloved Musical Annie Opens March 10 at the Dothan Opera House

Tickets available for SEACT’s “Annie”

March 9, 2026 — Dothan, AL — DOTHAN, AL — The sun will come out tomorrow when Southeast Alabama Community Theatre (SEACT) brings the beloved Broadway classic Annie to the historic Dothan Opera House beginning Tuesday, March 10. The production runs through Saturday, March 14, with evening performances at 7:00 p.m. each night and a special Saturday matinee at 2:00 p.m.

This heartwarming musical tells the story of the optimistic orphan Annie and her journey from a New York City orphanage to the home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Featuring timeless songs like “Tomorrow,” the production promises an uplifting experience for audiences of all ages.

SEACT’s production highlights the incredible talent of young performers across the Wiregrass. Eight local schools are represented among the cast of orphan characters, including Annie herself, showcasing the community’s strong youth arts presence and bringing together students from across the region for one unforgettable production.

Adding to the fun of this family-friendly production are two live dogs. The canine performers bring an extra dose of charm to the stage and are sure to delight audiences throughout the run of the show. Annie also features a live orchestra of 15 musicians, each bringing their own talents and professional backgrounds to the pit.

Patrons attending the show should note that the venue enforces a clear-bag policy. Guests are asked to bring only clear bags into the theatre, and all bags are subject to inspection upon entry.

Audience members are also reminded to purchase tickets only through seact.com, the only authorized ticket source for the production. Recently, some third-party ticket websites have been listing Annie tickets at significantly inflated prices, and in some cases those tickets may not be valid. Purchasing directly through SEACT ensures the lowest price and guaranteed admission.
