WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Betty Buie Ivey, a resident of Webb, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025, in Westside Terrace in Dothan. She was 98.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 14, 2025, in the Webb Baptist Church with Dr. Matthew C. Helms and Pastor Joe Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webb Baptist Church, P.O. Box 70, Webb, AL 36376.

Mrs. Ivey was born and raised in Webb, daughter of the late Walter Buie and Ressie Brackin Buie. She was a graduate of  Houston County High School in Columbia.  Mrs. Ivey was an active member of Webb Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School Class, sang in the church choir and taught Training Union classes. She was a long time member of the Hosanna Sunday School Class. In later years, Mrs. Ivey was a co-founder of Webb Senior Citizens where she was an active participant. During most of her adult lifetime, she assisted her late husband in the operation of Ivey & Ivey Farms, Inc.  Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Ivey, and two brothers, Otis Buie and Byrd Buie.

Surviving relatives include two sons, John Ivey (Sue), and Lamar Ivey (Kay), all of Webb; a sister-in-law, Cindy Buie, Webb; grandchildren, Jamar Ivey (Allison), Lance Ivey (Lauren), and Leigh Anna Hall (Bagby); great-grandchildren, Amelia Ivey and Ivey Hall; several nieces and nephews.
