ABBEVILLE. . .Betty Griggs Ingram, a resident of Abbeville, passed away Monday night, September 7, 2026, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92.

Graveside services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in the Griggs-Ingram Family Cemetery (2233 County Road 99, Newville, AL 36353) with Minster Bob Blalock officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.          Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Griggs-Ingram Cemetery, c/o Pam Taylor, 2065 County Road 99, Newville, AL 36353.

Mrs. Ingram was born and raised in the Oakey Grove Community of Henry County, daughter of the late Willie D. Griggs and Lillian Aileen Moring Griggs. She lived in Dothan from 1969 until 1985 when she returned to Henry County, near Abbeville. Mrs. Ingram attended Abbeville Church of Christ and formerly attended Enon Church of Christ, near Ashford. She was a former member of the Abbeville Garden Club. Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by husband, John C. Ingram, Jr., grandsons, John Timothy Ingram and Daniel Griggs Ingram, son-in-law, Mike Taylor, and a brother, James Walter Griggs.

Surviving relatives include her daughters, Pam Ingram Taylor, Abbeville; and Amy Ingram, Dothan; a son, Tim Ingram (Sandra), Headland; sister-in-law, Sara Griggs; grandchildren, Abby Taylor Flynn, Erin Scott (Scotty), Jennifer DeGafferelly (Sam) and Jessica Kendall (Adam); great-grandchildren, Madison, Cowen, Kendalyn, Taylor, Emma, Jaylen, Layla, John Mason, Aiden, Maddox, Mila, Addison and Hunter; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
