Beverlye Marea Clayton Reynolds, age 79, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Flowers Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bill Reif officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Northside Methodist Academy Scholarship Fund, 2600 Redmond Road, Dothan, AL 36303 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Beverlye Marea Clayton Reynolds was born on February 5, 1946 at Moody Hospital in Dothan to Floyd and Vivian Clayton. She spent the first three to four years following her dad’s Civil Engineer occupation from state to state. When it came time for her to start school, her family chose to move to Dothan, her mother’s hometown. She attended Rose Hill Elementary School, Girard Junior High and Dothan High School, graduating in 1964. She continued her education at Judson College and later became a bookkeeper for her husband who owned Burt Williams Construction Company. Her father and husband were members of the Dothan Elks Lodge #1887 and she remained active in the lodge over the years. She was a founding member of Northside Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, secretary, choir member, Ladies Guild member, and treasurer. She was a proud mother of her three children and supported them through school, dance, piano, and sports. She took pride in dedicating her time to her husband, their children, and all they built together as a family. Her grandchildren were her upmost pride and joy. She spent her time at gymnastics meets and every baseball, football, basketball or softball field her grandchildren were playing on.
Beverlye Marea Clayton Reynolds is preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Patrick Reynolds.
Survivors include her son, Brian Reynolds (Heather), Eufaula; daughters, Marea Sizemore (Joel), Dothan, Candace Grantham (Paul), Headland; six grandchildren, Noah Zimmerman (Morgan), Lampasas, TX, Clayton Sizemore, Dothan, Hunter Reynolds, Abigail Reynolds, both of Eufaula, McKinley Grantham, Ella Kate Grantham, both of Headland; two great grandchildren, Hazel Grace and Hadley Marie Zimmerman, both of Lampasas, TX; honorary Dad/Grandad, Denny McKinnon, Dothan.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Reynolds, Clayton Sizemore, Noah Zimmerman, Robert McKinnon, B.T. Hinson, and Mark Nelson.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Joel Ridley.
