Billy Joe Campbell, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Sunday, September 27, 2026 at his residence. He was 89.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM Thursday, October 1, 2026 in Memory Hill cemetery with Reverend Tim Willis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside at the cemetery.
Billy Joe was born March 18, 1937 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Leamon D. and Ina Laura Folsom Campbell. He was a 1955 graduate of Rehobeth High School and was in Sales for several companies before retirement. Billy Joe was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he taught in the Preschool Department and was a Deacon. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies at local restaurants.
Billy Joe is preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Robert Leslie.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Evelyn Campbell; daughters, Kevin White (Randy), Kim Joiner (Jon); grandchildren, Joshua White, Jordan White (Felicia), Anna Catherine Simmons, Dr. Daniel Joiner, Drew Joiner (Kate) and Jared Joiner; great granddaughter, Layla; great grandchildren, Amelia, Julian, Liam, Forrest, Wallace and a sister, Kay Mustin.
