Bonita Kay Jenkins Jones, a resident of Clayton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was 67 years old.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Clayton, Alabama with Rev. Don Highland officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
Bonita was born on December 27, 1957, in Tampa, Florida to the late James Ray and Lucy Pearl Thomas Jenkins. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, nature, and animals. She loved attending Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, where she was a member.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sandra Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Wendi Hernandez; brother, Calap Jenkins; three sisters, Shirley Rowland, Rebecca Steiner, and Lottie Lott; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special niece, Deborah Holton along with many other nieces and nephews.
