Carl “Jim” James Jackson, age 63, a resident of Cowarts, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born to the late Cecil James, Sr. and Charlotte Bottomley Jackson on August 30, 1962, in New York. His strong work ethic was evident through maintaining his yard and in his loyal dedication to Jim Whaley Tires for twenty-eight years. Jim enjoyed fast cars, 80’s Rock and Classic Country music, relaxing around a good fire, rather it was a campfire or a bonfire. He had a daily routine that consisted of work, stopping in to see the grandkids, then home for the evening. Jim was one that would make the first call and reach out to you, instead of waiting for you to call him. His daily calls and visits to his family were a true gift and reminder to them that they were truly loved. Jim was a simple man who didn’t need the finer things to satisfy him, he was a devoted father and was content with what he had as long as his kids and family were okay.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Jackson; parents; sister, Judy Ferraro; and great friend, Jack Taylor.
Survivors include his sisters, Carol Richardson and Kathy Witherell; sons, Jason Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Holden Taylor, and Christopher Taylor; daughter, Chelsea Taylor; grandchildren, Alex Carroll, Solomon Thomas, Dillion Jackson, Rylee Jackson, Khloe Graham, Kaiden Clark, Katelynn Clark, Liam Taylor, and Landon Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and one great-great niece.
