Caroline Ann Ivan
Caroline Ann Ivan, age 76, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama.
Caroline is survived by her siblings Fred (Chris), Mary Kay, Larry (Debbie), and Mike (Rita), as well as nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Ruth Ivan, and her siblings Jim, Marty, Warren, and Carl. Caroline was born on May 21, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1967. In her twenties, she moved to Alabama, which became her lifelong home. Caroline began her working life as a waitress at Shoney’s, where her strong work ethic and caring nature were evident early on. Through determination and perseverance, she put herself through nursing school and went on to serve as a nurse for many years. She made a profound and positive difference in the lives of her patients and truly loved caring for others. Caroline loved the Lord with all her heart and never hesitated to share her faith with anyone willing to listen. She attended Watermark Church in Ashford whenever she was able and lived her life as a reflection of her beliefs—through kindness, service, and compassion.
She was affectionately known as “C” to those who loved her. Though she did not have biological children, she loved Cara Blondheim Hinckley and Cameron Blondheim as her own. She was a cherished friend to many, which is evident by the amount of love and support shown after her passing.
While we mourn that C is no longer with us on this earth, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is fully healed and at peace—perhaps even driving the yellow “punch buggy” she always dreamed about—in Heaven.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank Flowers Hospital and DaySpring Hospice for their exceptional care.
