HENRY COUNTY: 5:50 PM Henry County 911 dispatched Headland FIre – Rescue, Henry County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA – Troopers to a motor vehicle accident, Henry County Road 83 and Henry County Road 16.
Reports to Henry County 911 a two vehicle accident, multiple patients and one reported unresponsive.
On arrival Headland Fire – Rescue transported trauma alert to Southeast Health. Shortly after arrival one patient was declared deceased. Henry County Coroner Derek Wright was dispatched to Southeast Health.
ALEA – Trooper’s is in charge of the accident.

TAYLOR: Last evening was the regular scheduled meeting of the Taylor City Council featuring Taylor Mayor Robert #HANDLEBAR Lamb.
Lamb argued briefly at the beginning of the meeting when Councilman Thompson added a correction to the minutes of the last meeting. The motion to add to the agenda joining the Houston County Mayor’s Association, discussion and vote was left out. #HANDLEBAR Mayor Lamb argued it was not on the agenda and Councilman Thompson quickly straightened him out and it was added to the minutes.
The FACEBOOK LIVE stream lost internet connection. The meeting was held in the Senior Center because of election using the council meeting room. So I had to change cameras. The meeting was not dramatic other than a builder who wanted to build 3,000 square foot houses and the regulations require him to give up some of the land and he said he was not willing to or jump through a lot of hoops and would just build crap houses, meaning much smaller homes. The builder has a great reputation in the construction business and builds excellent homes and would build homes Taylor could be proud of instead of little box homes.
The council said he had to go before the Planning and Zoning board.
COVINGTON CO. AL – OKALOOSE CO. FL: Today Covington County Sheriff Department, Andalusia, went to make a traffic stop. The suspect fled and went into Okaloosa County Forida.
Following a crash and attempted to foot chase the Covington County Sheriff Deputy was forced to deploy his taser. The man is in custody.
REHOBETH: 5:05 PM Houston County 911 dispatched Rehobeth Fire – Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA – Troopers to a motor vehicle accident at 4375 County Road 203.
A two vehicle accident. Minor injuries. One patient was transported, non emergency, to Southeast Health.
ALEA – Troopers are in charge of the accident investigation.
HEADLAND, AL — Emergency responders were dispatched at 8:41 p.m. Sunday to a reported motor vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 431 in front of Rodeo’s.
Responding to the scene were Headland Rescue, Headland Fire, and the Headland Police Department. Upon arrival, crews located a gold Ford Expedition that had left the roadway and come to rest in a ditch. Officials reported minor damage to the SUV, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver complained of lower back pain and was evaluated by emergency medical personnel before being transported non-emergency to a local hospital for further evaluation.
According to witnesses at the scene, the driver may have experienced a mechanical issue, possibly involving the vehicle’s brakes malfunctioning or locking up, causing the SUV to leave the roadway and enter the ditch. This information has not been confirmed by authorities, and the official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
At approximately 8:55 p.m., a wrecker was requested to remove the vehicle from the ditch.
Motorists traveling northbound or southbound on U.S. Highway 431 through Headland near Rodeo’s and Subway are urged to use extreme caution while emergency crews continue working the scene. At this time, traffic is being maintained using the outside (left) lane in both the northbound and southbound directions, while responders clear the incident.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, remain alert, and use caution until the scene has been completely cleared.
